2014 January 13th update
Added sound for dropping objects. Preventing sending of mining sound to other players when a player repeatedly mines zero material due to lag.
Changed Beehive oven recipe to require more granite and use alumina instead of marble.
Changed large forge to require less alumina and mortar. Charcoal and coke recipes now require a small amount of fuel to heat the charge. Beehive oven now has own coke and charcoal recipes that are more efficient then using a bonfire.
Did some research and increased the fuel value of coal in the game to 0.8 for bituminous and 0.9 for anthracite to better reflect real life fuel values.
2014 January 12th update
Fixed bug where client was using the wrong mining rate to figure out what sound to play on mining attempts. Added indicator when you can't use a fuel for a recipe due to fuel quality.
Server now sets up weapon change hotkeys for new users. Added new 'Endurance' effect for food. Mushrooms now damage health but increase endurance for 50 seconds. Added 'tick' sound when console text appears. Added pickup sound when picking up object from smelter menu.
Fixed a server crash bug relating to saving/loading of dropped objects.
2014 January 11th update
Fixed smelter menu to act same when double clicking fuel and recipe items. Added a readout to tell you how much of each fuel a recipe would need.
2014 January 10th update
Fixed a crash bug when assigning hotkeys. Did lots more play testing.
2014 January 9th update
Compressed some of the games largest textures with DXT. Packed up a new version of Brutal Nature for release!

2014 January 8th update
Did some play testing today. Lowered base mining rate due to new mining tools.
2014 January 7th update
Fixed a bug relating to being able to shoot after you had died. Fixed bug where fmod was spamming error log with invalid handle errors due to music code.
2014 January 6th update
Finally starting to recover from the flu.
Added weapon name to the main HUD. Removed 'Weapon changed to' message. Added 'Player Mining Rate' to server cfg. Added some boarders to the login menu.
Fixed more bugs relating to the new weapon system.
2014 January 5th update
Spent most of the day recovering. Did some bug finding and GUI mockups on how to add in ammo-less weapons to the GUI.
2014 January 4th update
Sick with the flu today so only did some light play testing and bug finding. Fixed up the last of the bugs caused by the new weapon system as some weapons do not have ammo now.
2014 January 3rd update
More work on the new weapon system. Mainly integrating it with the existing weapon gameplay and GUI.
2014 January 2nd update
Spent the day converting the weapon system to a new format to allow for multiple attack modes and magazines for each weapon. In the future this will support things under barrel grenade launchers, Throwing/melee knifes, etc.
2014 January 1st update
Started work on adding melee weapons and tools.
Fixed bug where sphere did not appear in edit mode. Removed 'snap to grid' from sphere editing mode, Now its usable to make nice round tunnels.
December 31st update
End of the month and end of the first year of development!
This month has been great! Improved start up time from 8 seconds to less then 1 second, GUI totally overhauled, New stats menu. Added 20 weapons and a new NPC, the boar. Rewritten the inventory menu and inventory back end system to be much easier to use and program. NPC's spawning has been moved to script and trees now respawn.
Today, Did more GUI work. Got mouse scrolling working based on what window the mouse is currently over instead of what one has keyboard focus.
December 30th update
Did some more GUI mockups. Added a new boarder control and added boarders to the various inventory menus.
December 29th update
Lots of play testing to work out any remaining bugs in the inventory menu conversion.
December 28th update
Did plot/game design work today along with more work on the new inventory system.
December 27th update
Added weapons: AKM, RPK, HK21E, Mini-14, MP5/10, H&K G3
Lowered semi auto weapons fire rate from 300RPM to 180RPM. Fixed a few other weapons fire rates as well.
December 26th update
Worked on adding unique ID's to each inventory object so the game can better track objects and make communication of object instances over the server and in GUI code more clear and less prone to bugs.
Added weapon: SUB-2000-9, PP-2000, Glock 17, Glock 18. M249 SAW, HK 23E.
